A New Holiday Tradition Begins at Callaway Resort & Gardens with Run Callaway Race Weekend

This holiday season, runners will have the rare opportunity to experience one of the most beloved holiday light displays in a way few ever do. Callaway Resort & Gardens is launching the inaugural Run Callaway Race Weekend, taking place December 4–6, 2026, giving participants exclusive access to race through the award-winning Fantasy in Lights. Featuring more than 10 million lights, Fantasy in Lights has become one of the South's most celebrated holiday traditions. While guests typically experience the display by trolley or personal vehicle, Run Callaway offers a one-of-a-kind chance to run beneath the glowing arches, towering trees, and animated light displays on foot.
Designed to become a new annual holiday tradition, the inaugural race weekend features events for runners of all ages and abilities. The excitement begins Friday, Dec. 4, with Midnight 5K, taking participants through the nationally acclaimed Fantasy in Lights display. Saturday's schedule includes a 10K and Kids Fun Run, while Sunday features the signature Half Marathon, which also winds through seven miles of dazzling holiday lights, along with another Kids Fun Run. Participants looking for the ultimate challenge can complete the 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon to earn an exclusive Challenge Medal.

Each registered participant will receive a commemorative race shirt, finisher medal, and race bib, while runners completing the Challenge will earn an exclusive Challenge Medal. Throughout the weekend, participants can also enjoy race-day entertainment, festive holiday décor, exclusive race merchandise, and a celebratory atmosphere that extends well beyond the finish line.
Race weekend offers more than just races. Participants are encouraged to make it a holiday getaway by staying overnight at Callaway Resort & Gardens. Registered runners will receive an exclusive 20% Runner's Rate on overnight accommodations, making it easy to enjoy the resort's restaurants, spa, gardens, and seasonal attractions throughout the weekend. Guests can also visit the Race Expo and Packet Pickup before exploring the resort during one of its most magical times of the year.
