RedefinED Atlanta Welcomes Anna Sherrill and Sundiata Salaam-Bey

RedefinED Atlanta, a locally based champion of K–12 public education, today announced that its team is growing with the additions of Anna Sherrill as the Associate Vice President of Marketing & Communications and Sundiata Salaam-Bey as the Associate Vice President of Innovative Schools.
Sherrill and Salaam-Bey join the organization as RedefinED Atlanta continues its work to drive systems-level change across Metro Atlanta -- bringing together educators, families, policymakers, and community partners to create more high-quality public school opportunities for every student.

Communications, brings more than 20 years of experience in marketing, advertising, and strategic communications to her new role at RedefinED Atlanta. Prior to RedefinED Atlanta, she was a Senior Vice President and Media Director with Tombras, the Ad Age Agency of the Year in 2025, and held various roles at Fitzco and Ames Scullin O’Haire. Her new role includes overseeing brand strategy, voice, and external communications.
Sherrill earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Georgia.
Sundiata Salaam-Bey, the Associate Vice President of Innovative Schools for
RedefinED Atlanta, has more than a decade of experience in cultivating strong school leaders and charter school founders. Before joining RedefinED Atlanta, he was the Senior Director of Leadership Development at BES (build. excel. sustain.), where he leveraged his educational leadership experience to coach, train, and support school leaders. Prior to BES, Salaam-Bey served as Chief Schools Officer and Chief People Officer with Freedom Preparatory Academy Charter School and as Head of School for Freedom Preparatory Academy in Memphis, Tenn.
In his new role at RedefinED Atlanta, Salaam-Bey’s focus will be on recruiting and mentoring school leaders to design and launch trajectory-changing school models in Metro Atlanta. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of Arkansas in Little Rock and a Master of Arts in Pan-African Studies.
