Douglas County Chamber Announces New Board Leadership Through 2029

The Douglas County Chamber (DCC) is pleased to announce new executive board leadership, Mark DeNyse, President of DeNyse Companies will serve as Chair in 2028 and Arman Sayyar, Managing Partner of Sam & Rosco’s Restaurant will serve as Chair in 2029.
DeNyse joined the DCC Board of Directors in 2021. An active Leadership Douglas alumnus from the Class of 2009, he has been a dedicated Chamber investor and has significantly contributed to the success of Chamber initiatives, events, and programs. DeNyse Companies has a long history of involvement with the Chamber and was recognized as Large Business of the Year in 2002, 2009, and 2018. DeNyse was also honored with the Chamber’s Chairman’s Award in 2025.
Sayyar joined the DCC Board of Directors in 2025 after serving as Chair of Douglas County Young Professionals in 2023. His leadership continues a strong family legacy of Chamber involvement, as his father served as Chair of the Douglas County Chamber Board in 2015, making Sayyar a second-generation Board Chair. His family’s business was also recognized as the Chamber’s Small Business of the Year in 2024 and has been in operation nearly 40 years in Douglas.
In addition to DeNyse serving as Chair-Elect and Sayyar serving as Chair Elect-Elect in 2027, the following individuals will serve on the Chamber Board’s Executive Committee for 2027: Dr. Julie Post from West Georgia Technical College as Board Chair; Heath King with Wellstar Douglas Medical Center as Treasurer; and Alicia Doherty from the American Red Cross as Immediate Past Chair.
“We are excited to welcome our incoming Board of Directors and deeply grateful to those whose terms have concluded,” said Chamber President & CEO Sara Ray. “Their collective leadership, vision, and commitment to our community will continue to strengthen the Chamber’s mission to foster growth, connection, and prosperity throughout Douglas County.”
New Board leadership will be recognized at the DCC Annual Meeting on December 10th which will include passing of the gavel to install Post as Chairwoman as well as recognizing outgoing Board Members Shandron Forte with POSolutions, Inc. and Paul Zachos with Zachos Team Realty. The new terms of leadership will be effective January 1st, 2027.
