Peach Bowl, Inc. Announces Staffing Changes

Following the recent promotion of David Epps to president and CEO, Peach
Bowl, Inc. is promoting five key staff members to expanded leadership roles.
Long known for having a seasoned senior-level staff, the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl is reshaping areas of responsibility across multiple functional areas in the organization.
“Our secret sauce has always been our people, so keeping this team in place was a top priority for me,” said David Epps, Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl president and CEO. “These five have proven track records, and we are now going to depend on them even more during this changing era in college football.” The following outlines promoted roles for each member of the team and highlights changed or expanded roles:
Derek Martin: Chief Operating Officer
Now in his 27 th season, Derek has been elevated from vice president, team operations and events to chief operating officer, recognizing his leadership across organizational event operations, staff and volunteer programs. In this expanded executive role, he will continue to lead the events department while taking on broader oversight of logistics and operations, major partnerships with stadium, hotel and other venue partners, and serving as the primary liaison with the College Football Playoff on team and operational matters.
Matt Garvey: Chief Communications Officer
Twenty-six years into his tenure, Matt has been promoted from vice president, communications to chief communications officer. Matt will continue to lead company-wide communications efforts, including management of all earned media efforts and media operations. His new senior-leadership role adds additional responsibilities specific to working with the CFP on evolving communications initiatives, developing advertising and marketing inventories, working to create integrated marketing campaigns and leading in the company’s community outreach.
Benji Hollis: Senior VP, Sales and Corporate Development
Currently in his 23rd year with PBI, Benji has been elevated from vice president, sales to senior vice president, sales and corporate development, reflecting the continued growth and importance of PBI’s sales and partnership efforts. In this expanded leadership role, he will continue to oversee ticket sales and corporate partnerships while driving revenue growth across all owned properties and developing new opportunities through community and corporate partnerships.
Lexi Edsall: Senior Director, Events
Entering her 10 th season with the Bowl, Lexi has been elevated from director of events to senior director of events, recognizing her growing leadership in the planning and execution of PBI’s events, operations and logistics. In this expanded role, she will work closely with the COO to execute event-related initiatives, assume full management of bowl game production and other in-stadium responsibilities, and continue development and oversight of fan events.
Leigh Stephens: Senior Director, Marketing
After eight years of service, Leigh has been elevated from director of marketing to senior director of marketing, recognizing her expanding leadership in the organization’s marketing strategy, brand management and content development. In this enhanced role, she will oversee social and owned media strategy and execution, licensing and merchandising approvals, video content development, and overall bowl signage and brand management across stadium and market-wide applications.
