Piedmont Orthopedics | OrthoAtlanta is pleased to welcome Brandon M. Savage, M.D., a fellowship-trained physician specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Interventional Pain Management, to it's The Battery Atlanta location.

Dr. Savage specializes in non-operative and minimally invasive treatments for acute and chronic pain, with a focus on helping patients reduce pain, improve function and quality of life, and return to the activities that matter most to them.

His areas of expertise include the treatment of chronic neck and low back pain, radiculopathy and sciatica, degenerative spine conditions, spinal stenosis, herniated discs, joint pain, neuropathic pain, sports and musculoskeletal injuries, and post-surgical spine pain. He also provides a wide range of minimally invasive procedures, including epidural steroid injections, facet injections, radiofrequency ablation, spinal cord stimulation, peripheral nerve stimulation, joint injections and other image-guided procedures.

Dr. Savage earned his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Grand Valley State University before completing a Master of Science in Basic Medical Sciences and his medical degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit.

He completed his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, where he served as Chief Resident for Clinical Affairs. He continued his training at LSU with an Interventional Pain Management Fellowship, serving as Chief Fellow for Clinical Affairs.

Dr. Savage brings particular expertise in the comprehensive, nonsurgical management of spine and musculoskeletal conditions. His procedural interests include spinal cord stimulation, peripheral nerve stimulation, radiofrequency ablation, basivertebral nerve ablation, minimally invasive lumbar decompression, regenerative medicine and ultrasound- and fluoroscopic-guided procedures.

Dr. Savage is board eligible with the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in both Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, Southern Pain Society and International Pain and Spine Intervention Society.
