Special Olympics Georgia to Host 21st Annual Duck Pluck

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Tuesday, September 1st, 2026

Special Olympics Georgia (SOGA) will host its 21st Annual Duck Pluck on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Special Olympics Georgia office, located at 6046 Financial Drive in Norcross.

The Duck Pluck is one of SOGA's signature annual fundraisers. Supporters can symbolically adopt ducks for a chance to win prizes while helping provide year-round sports training, Olympic-style competition, health programming, and leadership opportunities for 24,218 registered athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Georgia.

SOGA's 2026 goal is 9,000 duck adoptions. More than 7,600 ducks had already been adopted by mid-August, bringing the organization within reach of its goal ahead of the September event. Ducks are available for $10 each or seven for $35 through the Quack Pack.

During the Duck Pluck, athlete participants will select five winning ducks. Prizes include a Dell laptop, a $500 Visa gift card, a $350 Visa gift card, a $200 Visa gift card, and a $150 Visa gift card. Winners do not need to be present.

Funds raised through the Duck Pluck help offset the cost of participation in Special Olympics Georgia's State Indoor Winter Games, State Summer Games, and State Fall Games, allowing athletes to train, compete, build friendships, and experience the joy of sport at no cost to them or their families.
