The Town at Trilith’s signature Makers and Music Arts Festival returns on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 2 to 6 p.m., celebrating local artists and creators. Back for its fourth year, the fall festival will feature an afternoon of live music, community art and family-friendly activities in the heart of Trilith’s Town Centre.

Live music will take place throughout the afternoon on Trilith’s Sound Stage, with performances by a talented mix of local musicians, including:

• Elliott Phillips – An Atlanta-based professional drummer, guitarist and singer/songwriter, whose repertoire spans pop, rock, R&B, blues, classic rock and country. Stage time: 2-3 p.m.
• Grassroots Drums – A lively youth drum and percussion group based in Sharpsburg, Ga., specializing in interactive rhythms and percussion experiences. Stage times: 3-3:15 p.m., 3:45-4 p.m. and 4:45-5 p.m.
• James & the Georgia Peaches – A high-energy live cover band playing popular hits across decades and genres. Stage times: 4-4:45 p.m. and 5:15-6 p.m.

A highlight of this year’s festival is Maker’s Passport, a collection of interactive art inside the Shipyard at Trilith. Activities include:

• A collaborative LEGO mural with Atlanta Bricks of Newnan
• A hands-on STEAM experience from Georgia Exploreum
• Pottery wheel-throwing with mind.body.clay
• Origami making, live art, make-your-own magnets, interactive photo experiences and more community art experiences

Additionally, Southside Sketchers will host Plein Air Paint Out, an outdoor painting experience where artists can set up their easels and create artwork inspired by the surrounding scenery.

Festivalgoers can also explore the town’s dynamic mix of retailers and enjoy food and drinks from participating restaurants and food vendors such as ENZO Steakhouse & Bar, CT Cantina and Barleygarden.

“Creativity and community define the Town at Trilith, and our Makers & Music Festival gives us a chance to celebrate the local artists, makers and musicians that bring Trilith to life,” said Elizabeth Moghal, event manager for the Town at Trilith. “We’re excited to welcome families to Trilith for an afternoon of creativity, connection and fun.”

General admission is $15 per person. Paid on-site parking will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs, and pets must be on leashes.

A portion of festival proceeds will benefit the Trilith Foundation, a local nonprofit dedicated to enriching the lives and well-being of creatives through mental health resources, crisis care, studio enrichment and community events. Trilith Foundation is connected to Fayetteville’s Trilith Studios, the largest purpose-built film studio in North America.
