Atlanta Hawks to Become the First NBA Team to Stream Games Exclusively on Prime Video
Wednesday, October 21st, 2026
The Atlanta Hawks today announced that Prime Video will serve as the new streaming home of the Atlanta Hawks for the 2026-27 season, making all local games (non-national exclusive broadcasts) available to stream for in-market fans with a Prime membership, with no additional subscription required. The Hawks expansive regional television territory covers a five-state footprint including Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Mississippi.
In July, Gray Media and the Hawks announced an official broadcast partnership, bringing all non-nationally televised Atlanta Hawks regular season games to WANF (Atlanta News First) and Peachtree Sports Network throughout the state of Georgia for free all season long.
With these two landmark media agreements, the Atlanta Hawks will become accessible to one of the largest audiences in the NBA, delivering free over-the-air television and streaming access across Georgia and the Southeast.
“We are so excited to have an incredible relationship with Prime Video, who has proven to be an innovative and accessible pillar for both the NBA and NFL. Our fans are at the heart of all of our decisions, so being able to deliver Hawks games to our fans however and wherever they choose to watch - whether that be in front of a Connected TV, on a tablet, or on a cellphone – is critically important with consumers' ever-changing viewing habits,” said Andrew Saltzman, president of business enterprise and chief commercial officer of the Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena. “We are committed to putting our fans first and maximizing accessibility throughout the state of Georgia and the Southeast.”
"Exclusively streaming the Atlanta Hawks as part of our growing local sports portfolio is another step forward in providing fans an easy, one-stop destination to watch the teams they love,” said Charlie Neiman, Head of Sports Partnerships, Prime Video. “The Hawks have demonstrated a forward-thinking approach to reaching and engaging their fans and share the same commitment to innovation that drives our organization. Together, we’re making it easier than ever for fans across the Southeast to watch their team.”
The Hawks are scheduled to air 74 games on over-the-air television on WANF and Peachtree Sports Network, along with streaming exclusively for Prime members. All locally broadcast Hawks games are produced by industry-leading Raycom Sports and will be available to 100% of the Atlanta market and Gray Media stations throughout the state.
Atlanta Hawks fans in-market will now be able to watch locally at home or on the go, and across thousands of compatible devices, streaming from the web, or using the Prime Video app on smartphones, tablets, set-top boxes, game consoles, and connected TVs.
The Hawks begin the 2026-27 regular season on Wednesday, Oct. 21 at the Orlando Magic (7 p.m. ET).
