Harvest & Grace, a new fast-casual neighborhood cafe inspired by the belief that great food brings people together, has named Justin Dixon as its executive chef. The Atlanta native brings nearly two decades of experience to Harvest & Grace as the restaurant prepares to open at the Town at Trilith in November.
Dixon will oversee all culinary operations for the new cafe, working closely with local farmers and purveyors to develop a menu rooted in fresh, seasonal ingredients. Harvest & Grace will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday, along with specialty coffee and Sunday brunch.
“What excites me most about Harvest & Grace is the opportunity to build something from the ground up,” Dixon said. “From developing the menu and building the kitchen team to creating relationships with local farmers and producers, I get to be intentional about what this restaurant becomes. I’m excited to create food that feels familiar and approachable, but still gives us room to be creative and reflect the community we’re serving.”
Dixon’s culinary career began at the Art Institute of Atlanta and Pano’s & Paul’s in 2007. He trained under some of Atlanta’s most respected chefs, including Ian Winslade, Zeb Stevenson, Shaun Doty and Chris Hall. He’s held roles at celebrated Atlanta restaurants, such as Local Three, The Spence and Bully Boy, where he developed a cooking style centered on bold flavors, thoughtful ingredients and approachable dishes. Most recently, Dixon served as chef and owner of Humble Mumble, a popular sandwich shop in Midtown.
“Justin brings a combination of creativity, experience and a genuine appreciation for the dining experience that makes him a great fit,” said Matt Wachlin, owner of Harvest & Grace. “We share a love for approachable food, whether it’s a crispy fried chicken sandwich, rum raisin waffles or a superfood salad. We crossed paths early in our culinary careers, so it’s a testament to the dynamic Atlanta food scene that we’re working together again.”
Harvest & Grace will feature a scratch-made menu of American fare that balances comforting dishes with fresh, wholesome options, from house-made wraps, sandwiches and seasonal salads to roasted meats and seafood. Locally sourced ingredients will define the menu, with vegetarian, gluten-free, kid-friendly and other health-conscious offerings to suit a variety of tastes and lifestyles.
The restaurant will share additional details, including grand-opening celebrations and menu previews, in the coming weeks.
