Tuesday, October 6th, 2026

The Decatur City Commission is set to discuss, and possibly vote on, hiring a company to operate the city's Task Force on Homelessness.

The contract, as proposed, would pay Moore Iacofano Golstman, Inc. $109,023 to run the task force.

The task force itself has a separate project budget of $125,000.

According to a memo to the Decatur City Manager, city staff recommend approval of the contract.

In the memo, staff said the contract with MIG would include a 10% contingency. If approved, the company would provide Decatur "with dedicated support, strategic guidance and ongoing facilitation of Decatur's 30-member Task Force on Homelessness."
