Solv Wellness Names Dr. Christine Vaccaro Its First Chief Medical Officer

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Solv Wellness, a science-backed women's health company focused on perimenopause and menopause health, has named Christine Vaccaro, DO, FACOG, MSCP, as its first Chief Medical Officer. Effective immediately, Dr. Vaccaro will advise the company on its menopause education strategy and support educational initiatives for patients and healthcare professionals.

Her appointment comes amid a menopause education gap that leaves both patients and clinicians underprepared: Fewer than one in three U.S. OB/GYN residency programs offer a dedicated menopause curriculum,1 and only about half of women going through menopause have consulted a health professional about it.2

A double board-certified urogynecologist and sexual medicine specialist, Dr. Vaccaro has built her career helping women address pelvic, sexual, and other health concerns that commonly arise during midlife and beyond. She approaches menopause as whole-woman health, spanning pelvic, sexual, and overall well-being, not simply a narrow set of symptoms.

As Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Vaccaro will advise Solv Wellness's menopause education strategy, contribute to patient and clinician resources, and represent the company in select media, speaking, and educational programs. Her work will focus on helping women and clinicians understand their options, ask informed questions, and make evidence-based health decisions, extending the work the company has focused on since 2010.

"Women can spend more than a third of their lives after the menopause transition, yet too many are still expected to navigate it without real answers and solutions," said Terri Wade, co-founder and CEO of Solv Wellness. "Scientific rigor and clinician trust have defined Solv Wellness from the start. Adding a Chief Medical Officer of Dr. Vaccaro's caliber, alongside our medical advisory board, deepens that commitment and helps us reach even more women who deserve to be taken seriously."

Dr. Vaccaro is a fellowship-trained urogynecologist and reconstructive pelvic surgeon who is double board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) and has advanced training in sexual medicine. She graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point and spent 30 years in the U.S. Army and retired at the rank of colonel after serving as Fellowship Program Director and Service Chief of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. A published researcher and active committee member of the American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS) and the Society of Gynecologic Surgeons (SGS), she also develops clinician education for organizations including the International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health (ISSWSH).

"Women deserve a full menu of options, delivered compassionately," said Dr. Vaccaro. "Too many have been dismissed and told their symptoms are just part of getting older. Many of these symptoms can be evaluated and treated, and women deserve to have their concerns taken seriously. I'm proud to partner with Solv Wellness to help women and the clinicians who care for them make evidence-based decisions."

Dr. Vaccaro practices in Bethesda, Maryland, with Dr. Rachel Rubin, a nationally recognized expert in sexual medicine and menopause care. With Dr. Vaccaro on board as Chief Medical Officer, Solv Wellness continues to reinforce its clinical foundation and leadership behind its mission.
