The Metro Atlanta Chamber’s Global Commerce Council recently announced the finalists for the eighth annual Global Impact Awards. The annual Global Impact Awards honor international business excellence, innovation and leadership. They also shine a light on the region’s extensive international business ecosystem, including foreign direct investment and exports.

“Metro Atlanta has continuously attracted and promoted the leading global talent that defines us as a top Knowledge Capital and an international hub for innovation, foreign direct investment and business growth,” said Jorge Fernandez, vice president of global commerce with the Metro Atlanta Chamber.

“These finalists represent that cutting edge, and through their leadership and entrepreneurial spirit they enhance Atlanta’s position as a top-tier global region and a friendly business community for all.”

The award winners will be announced at the Global Impact Awards ceremony on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at the Georgia Aquarium. This year’s keynote speaker will be Dennis Lockhart, recently retired president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.
