• Georgia Receives More Than $522M In Federal Funds To Address Impact Of Coronavirus

Kemp, announced the availability of $522,237,467 in Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act funds for Georgia’s transit operators which is made available by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). The CARES Act was signed into law by President Trump on March 27, 2020.

  U.S. Senators David Perdue (R-GA) and Kelly Loeffler (R-GA) announced $792 million in funding from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to Georgia hospitals and health care providers enrolled in Medicare. These funds, authorized through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Stability (CARES) Act, will be used to treat coronavirus patients and aid in the fight against COVID-19.
