Lanier Islands to Hire Hundreds Ahead of the Holiday Season
Staff Report From Metro Atlanta CEO
Thursday, April 16th, 2015
The forecast calls for a flurry of job fairs at one of Georgia’s most popular playgrounds – Lanier Islands. With the upcoming debut of a new winter-themed attraction at the lakeside resort’s beach and boardwalk entertainment district and the return of a beloved holiday tradition – the Magical Nights of Lights, Lanier Islands’ human resources department is primed and ready to interview and hire nearly 300 seasonal employees. The resort’s newest hires will be tasked with fulfilling a number of fun-focused roles that include snow groomers, cashiers, front gate attendants, ride attendants, food and beverage attendants, retail sales, clean up, admissions and more.
“We have very high standards at Lanier Islands,” explained Sandra Simon-Grindy, Director of Human Resources at the resort. “Lanier Islands has worked very hard to build a reputation of unsurpassed customer service in order to provide an excellent guest experience. That’s why we’ve been awarded the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for two years and counting. Ideal candidates for the positions for which we are currently hiring must come equipped with a big smile, as well as a sincere desire to help people and the willingness to work hard and have fun at the same time. To apply, job seekers can either complete an application online or attend one of our upcoming job fairs.”
