Peggy Still Johnson, Brian Hudson & Steve Sidman Named Advisors of Georgia Music Partners

Georgia Music Partners, the advocacy arm of The Recording Academy Atlanta Chapter named Peggy Still Johnson, Brian Hudson and Steve Sidman as advisors to its executive committee. GMP advocates the promotion of music in business and related music technology in the state of Georgia.
“Our new advisors’ vast experience and understanding of the music business make them ideal additions to our team,” said Tammy Hurt, president of GMP and Placement Music. “We look forward to having their insights and capabilities to help guide GMP in the upcoming year.”
Peggy Still Johnson is the executive director for Callanwolde Fine Arts Center, is on the advisory board for Georgia State University School of Music and is on the Board of Governors (Composer Seat) for the Atlanta Chapter of The Recording Academy. She has performed all over the world as both a soloist and in bands and has worked on films such as the blockbuster hit “Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” “Big Momma’s House 3,” “Parental Guidance” and “Bessie,” a movie starring Queen Latifah. In addition to working as a musician, Johnson also founded Peggy Johnson Productions and Talent where she works as a music supervisor, casting agent, talent coach and composer of music for film.
Brian Hudson has worked in and around state government relations and politics for more than 14 years, guiding major organizations through various legislative, political and regulatory battles at the Georgia State Capitol. Hudson has advised CEOs and senior executives of major corporations as well as small businesses on their public policy issues. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Georgia Professional Lobbyists Association, is on the advisory board of Georgia Music Partners and is an active member of the Georgia Chamber Governmental Affairs Council. In addition to his political interests, Hudson is an accomplished drummer and musician with experience performing hundreds of shows before tens of thousands of people.
Steve Sidman is the founder and managing member of Atlanta-based The Sidman Law Firm, LLC, which focuses on transactional matters throughout the entertainment industry and the business of pop culture. Prior to opening his own firm in 2010, Sidman served as a shareholder in the Global Entertainment Group of Greenberg Traurig, LLP, one of the largest entertainment law practices and law firms in the world. Sidman is an active member of several industry groups, including the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, the Country Music Association, The Southern Foodways Alliance and was a selected member of the Anti-Defamation League's Glass Leadership Development Program, Class of 2011.
