VersionOne Announces David Mitchell as President and Chief Operating Officer

VersionOne, a leader in agile lifecycle management solutions, announced today that David Mitchell will join its leadership team as President and Chief Operating Officer. David brings extensive enterprise operational and go-to-market expertise and will lead VersionOne's sales, marketing, alliances, and services organizations as the company continues its rapid expansion. David will report directly to VersionOne CEO Robert Holler.

David Mitchell is an experienced software executive and entrepreneur who brings more than 25 years of expertise to VersionOne. Most recently, he was an operating partner at private equity firm Francisco Partners. While there, he served as interim CEO of companies such as Webtrends and Vendavo. Prior to Francisco Partners, David served as president and CEO of Spring Mobile and Global360.
Previously, David served at webMethods, first as vice president of global sales, then COO, and then CEO. During his tenure, the company successfully grew to $200 million and was sold to SoftwareAG. At SoftwareAG, David continued as COO of the webMethods business unit and helped grow revenue to more than $500 million.
Early in his career, David was president and CEO of a small software company, VYCOR that sold to McAfee, where he served as director of network management sales.
