Brand Group Holdings Elect Michael J. Coles Chairman

Brand Group Holdings is pleased to announce the election of Mr. Michael J. Coles as Chairman of its Board of Directors. Mr. Coles is a community leader, philanthropist, an advocate for education, an accomplished businessman and entrepreneur.

Mr. Coles has served on the Board of Brand Group Holdings since 2011 and was the former Chairman of Charter Bank & Trust. Mr. Coles’ business experience also includes serving as: Executive Chairman and President of Global Onboard Partners which specializes in advertising on commercial airlines; Chief Executive Officer of the Caribou Coffee Company and Co-Founder and Chairman of the Great American Cookie Company.

Mr. Coles has also served on several non-profit boards including the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia; he was appointed by the Governor of Georgia to serve as Chairman of the Georgia Film and Video Advisory Commission and has run for office in Congressional 6th District for U.S. Senate. He has a long-standing relationship with Kennesaw State, receiving an honorary doctorate and the Beta Gamma Sigma Medallion. In 1994, the Kennesaw State college of business was renamed the Michael J. Coles College of Business in recognition of his success, leadership and support. Mr. Coles and his wife, Donna, live in Atlanta and have three adult children, Lorin, Jody and Taryn.
