Hart Williford, president and CEO of Ingenious Med, provider of the nation’s premier patient encounter platform One by Ingenious Med, has joined the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce Board of Advisors and its Bioscience and Health IT Leadership Council. “From the CDC to Fortune 500 businesses and scrappy healthcare technology startups, Atlanta is home to some of the most cutting-edge ideas in healthcare IT.”

The MAC Council aims to attract more companies and talent—with specialties in bioscience and health IT—by positioning Atlanta as the nation’s health IT capital. Serving as Ingenious Med’s MAC board liaison, Williford will join leadership from organizations including the Centers for Disease Control, Kimberly Clark and McKesson in promoting Atlanta’s world-class medical device assets and academic resources.

“We are thrilled to have Hart Williford, CEO of Ingenious Med, join our board of advisors and Bioscience and Health IT Leadership Council,” said David Hartnett, vice president of economic development–industry expansion at the Metro Atlanta Chamber. “Hart’s leadership has led to high growth and creating hundreds of jobs in one of our most critical industry sectors–health IT. His commitment to the health IT community and strong track record will be great assets as our board works to grow investment and STEM jobs in the region.”

Since its founding, Ingenious Med has been heavily involved in the Atlanta Health IT community. The company’s endowment and exclusive internship program with Georgia Tech broadens knowledge of healthcare IT among some of the brightest technology students in the country.

“From the CDC to Fortune 500 businesses and scrappy healthcare technology startups, Atlanta is home to some of the most cutting-edge ideas in healthcare IT,” said Williford. “Aligned with MAC, the Ingenious Med team will work to further our city’s mission of staying at the forefront of this rapidly growing industry.”
