The 26th annual Young Council of REALTORS Charity Golf Tournament was held September 18th at Chastain Park Golf Course. Over 100 REALTORS and guests came together to raise $22,000 dollars for the Carter Martin Cancer Research Fund. Over the past ten years the Young Council has raised over $250,000 dollars through the annual tournament, to benefit the fund and children’s cancer research.

This  fund was created in honor of Carter Martin, the 7 year old son of an ACBR member who passed away from Ewing’s Sarcoma Cancer, a rare blood disease in 2003. Due to the dedication and fundraising from the Young Council, the AFLAC Cancer Center dedicated two rooms in the Young Council’s honor, at both the Egleston and Scottish Rite Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta campuses. The Young Council is very proud to continue to support children’s cancer research through their charity efforts.
