The Urban Redevelopment Agency of the City of Forest Park has recently executed a contract to begin work on the creation of the “Gillem Logistics Center Communication Plan,” a comprehensive communication plan to be used to effectively provide timely information to the community and to assist in major marketing efforts for the Gillem Logistics Center. The URA Board of Directors appointed Fred E. Bryant, currently the executive director of the URA, as the project manager for this communication planning process. Acsential Marketing an award-winning agency with highly acclaimed marketing skills, was awarded the contract to create this master plan.
Acsential Marketing is headed by Deidre F. Brown Collins, CEO and Annette L. Pipkins, COO, located in Southwest Atlanta. Known for delivering successful services in management strategy, and with extensive experience in developing successful integrated communication plans for several government entities, Acsential augments its staff with Patricia Pullar, who is a community advocate and a liaison from the Forest Park area. Additionally, Bunnie Jackson-Ransom, with First Class, Inc., a forty-year veteran in the areas of marketing, media relations, and community affairs; and, Kimberly Sanders, environmental program specialists with Weston Solutions, Inc., join the team. “We have brought our very best to the table to work with Forest Park. Our staff is more than capable and we certainly have a dedication to the cause and the community. We guarantee that our services will be of the highest quality and will meet the goals of the community,” says Ms. Brown Collins.
The process to create the communication plan gets started as of August 27. There will be a short period of due diligence as Acsential and the URA team brainstorm to review what is working and what is not. The process will also include listening to the community through key focus groups and surveys, creating long range and short term goals, developing a timeline and action items, scheduling training sessions for appropriate team members, producing collateral material as needed (such as Power Point presentations, and an internet presence) and preparing a budget to implement the plan.
“The vision for a Gillem Logistics Center has come to fruition after years of planning by the URA Board and staff and its Development Partners. We look forward to working with Acsential to get the word about this incredible opportunity out to our citizens, the media, our elected officials, our local business partners and future owners or tenants at the GLC, says Mr Fred Bryant.
