Digital Insurance, the nation's largest employee benefits-only company, made another charitable contribution of $50,000 to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. The 7th annual DI Dash road race, held Saturday, Aug. 29th, has raised well over a quarter of a million dollars for the not-for-profit pediatric healthcare system.

“We applaud everyone who has given their time, talent and resources to this event, and we are grateful for the impressive support generated for this special cause,” says Adam Bruckman, president and CEO of Digital Insurance. “Through the generous contributions of our employees, partners, carriers and friends and families, we presented another $50,000 check this year to help fund Children’s programs such as Safe Kids and Camp Strong4Life.”

More than 450 people -- including many repeat DI Dash runners -- registered for the family- friendly event that began and ended in Marietta Square. In addition to the runners, there was tremendous volunteer and corporate support for the fundraiser.

Since the race’s inception, UnitedHealthcare has been a title sponsor, joined by platinum sponsors Aetna and Guardian; diamond sponsors CUNA and Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP; gold sponsors UNUM, SunLife, Lincoln Financial, Humana, Berman, Fink & Van Horn, Humana, Reliance Standard, Principal, Metlife; silver sponsors Accrue Solutions and Childress Klein; and in-kind sponsors Sprouts, Hire Dynamics, H&W Printing and Excellence in Exercise.

“Digital adopted Children's Healthcare of Atlanta as a charity of choice several years ago,” explains Bruckman. “The race is our main fundraiser and has become a favorite tradition and an integral part of our culture of caring.  Our employees have a chance to visit Children’s throughout the year to see how the money is helping and that goes a long way to igniting the passion behind the event.”
