DuraMax, producer of brake chambers for land vehicles, joined a Gwinnett Chamber Economic Development delegation from its global headquarters in South Korea to announce the expansion of its North America headquarter operation in Gwinnett County, Metro Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

The company, whose brake products are marketed and sold to automobile manufacturers and specialized automobile mechanics, will establish it first U.S. presence in Gwinnett County.

“The support of the local and state economic development organizations has been incredible,” said Yon Yu, President, DuraMax, Mira VC, Inc. “We look forward to becoming an outstanding member of the Gwinnett County community.”
The announcement was made during a twelve-day business mission trip to Asia to announce multiple new companies to Gwinnett County, Metro Atlanta, explore trade and export opportunities, recruit direct foreign investment and build relationships in the region. Delegates are meeting with prominent members of government and corporate communities to explore business opportunities and leverage its representative presence in the region, as well as raise awareness of Georgia and Gwinnett as a key location for investment from South Korea.
 
“It’s a testament to Georgia’s strong manufacturing network when cutting-edge companies such as DuraMax choose our state to locate their new facility,” said Georgia Department of Department of Economic Development Senior Project Manager Yoonie Kim. “DuraMax will serve as a magnet for suppliers that produce automotive parts for the company as well as strengthen our automotive supplier chain.”
 
DuraMax’s 12,234-square-foot facility in Gwinnett will house the company’s Americas warehouse operation as the company expands its position into the brake systems industry in the United States and other global markets.

Allan Anderson, Senior Vice President for Dexter Companies, LLC, is credited with assisting the company in leasing the new location.
