Greenberg Traurig’s Sara Deskins Tucker to Speak at the 2015 Georgia Bio Innovation Summit

The international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP announced today that Associate Sara Deskins Tucker has been selected to speak at the 2015 Georgia Bio Innovation Summit. The Summit is in its 14th year, and takes place Nov. 2, 2015, in Atlanta, Georgia.
Tucker will speak with Kevin L. Ong, Ph.D., P.E., Principal Engineer with Exponent, Inc., on “FDA Inspection and Warning Letters: What We Can Learn from the Past.” Tucker and Ong previously co-authored an article entitled "Under the Watchful Eye: What do FDA Warning Letters Tell Us?" for Litigation Management magazine, Summer 2014. Tucker is one of the few attorneys selected to speak at this year’s event.
According to Georgia Bio, for more than 13 years it has presented the Georgia Bio Innovation Summit, Georgia's premier bioscience and medtech conference attended by 600+ CEOs, senior executives, scientists, and public policy officials from Georgia and across the nation. The Summit showcases Georgia’s leadership in innovation, from basic research to manufacturing, to improve the health and well-being of people, animals, and the environment.
Tucker concentrates her practice on complex products liability litigation, with a focus on pharmaceutical and medical device litigation. She has experience representing and defending life sciences clients in federal and state courts, including multidistrict litigation, consolidated state court litigation, mass torts, and consumer class actions. She is recognized by Georgia Super Lawyers as a "Rising Star” for 2015. She is actively involved with Defense Research Institute, serving as a member of DRI’s Young Lawyers Division Steering Committee and chair of the Publications Subcommittee, and as a member of DRI’s Drug & Medical Device Steering Committee, including serving on the New Member Orientation Subcommittee and as the Young Lawyer Liaison. She received the DRI Young Lawyers Committee "Outstanding Newcomer" award in 2014. She obtained her J.D., cum laude, from Georgia State University College of Law and her B.S., cum laude, from Georgia Institute of Technology.
