The Technology Association of Georgia today announced that Mark Oakley, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer with State Farm Insurance Companies, as its keynote speaker for Excalibur Awards, which recognizes businesses throughout the state that have taken advantage of technology to conquer the competition.
Oakley will speak at the October 23, 2015 Excalibur Award's breakfast, held at the Georgia Aquarium and co-hosted by TAG, ASAP, Primus and State Farm.

Oakley's IT organization at State Farm plays a key role in leading the company through business transformation. As CIO, Mark leads the department of more than 6,000 IT employees who provide Enterprise technology solutions and services to State Farm and its customers – which includes over 65,000 employees, 18,000 agents, and tens of millions of customers in the U.S.
Mark received a bachelor’s degree in computational mathematics from Eastern Illinois University. He joined State Farm in 1984 as a programmer/analyst in the Systems Department. Throughout his 31 year career, he has held a number of leadership positions in IT and business operations. Mark assumed his current position in June 2007.
