German Manufacturer Kraiburg TPE Opens New Facility in Gwinnett County

KRAIBURG TPE Corporation, in partnership with Georgia Department of Economic Development , Gwinnett Chamber Economic Development and the German American Chamber of Commerce celebrated the opening of its brand new Gwinnett location with a ribbon cutting ceremony in the City of Buford, Gwinnett County, metro Atlanta. The newly constructed 70,000-square-foot building represents a $15 million investment and 20 jobs in the Gwinnett community.
The leading global manufacturer of Thermoplastic Elastomers, KRAIBURG TPE has experienced strong growth over the past ten years, tripling in size and revenue while expanding its business base throughout the Americas. Headquartered in Waldkraiburg, Germany, the company’s existing Gwinnett operations serves as KRAIBURG TPE’s primary regional manufacturing and customer support center.
“Today’s grand opening marks a milestone in our company’s history, and also reinforces our commitment as an international leader within the plastics industry”, says Jeff Frankish, Managing Director for KRAIBURG TPE. “Making this investment in the Atlanta area also reflects the confidence that we have in leveraging the workforce talent, economic infrastructure, and available resources within Gwinnett County.”
Located off I-985, on Hamilton Mill Parkway, in the Hamilton Mill Business Park, KRAIBURG TPE’s new facility will focus on the production of existing products lines for automotive, consumer and industrial applications.

The facility was designed for three production lines and 75 personnel to start, with the capacity to double the square footage of its original size as needed. Long–term, the future expansion will include enough space for the addition of up to five more production lines.
