Porter Novelli Atlanta recently engaged in a Day of Giving at the Future Foundation to redesign the facility's learning environment. Founded in 2001 by former NBA player Shareef Abdur-Rahim, Future Foundation has served more than 10,000 youth in the metro Atlanta community, providing education, health and life skills programs that establish a path for successful growth.

Porter Novelli Atlanta began engagement with the Future Foundation in August, delivering pro-bono support to enhance visibility and generate support for the great work the organization has been doing in the community. In addition to providing PR support, Porter Novelli Atlanta partnered with Future Foundation to help refresh the learning spaces where youth gather for tutoring, college prep, guidance and safe spaces for academic enrichment to help students positively change their lives and communities.

"We believe passionately in the importance of investing in today's youth and giving back to our community. In fact, at the core of who we are is our operating philosophy and culture of doing well by doing good," said Melissa Taylor, Porter Novelli Atlanta's deputy managing director. "The unique opportunity to volunteer with Future Foundation enabled our team to share some creative inspiration and be inspired by the Foundation's mission to prepare students for their futures and help them thrive despite their circumstances."

Annually, Porter Novelli Atlanta provides support to a select pro-bono client that positively impacts the community they serve in. Porter Novelli's Day of Giving was a pre-Georgia Gives Day event to spark energy and excitement for the Nov. 12 day of fundraising. Georgia Gives Day creates an opportunity for Georgia residents to stop and consider their lives and communities without nonprofits, challenging residents in a "flash mob of giving," focusing on one 24-hour period to see how much can be raised for Georgia nonprofits, like Future Foundation.
