Amy Carrier is the new president of WellStar Cobb Hospital in Austell, Ga.

She succeeds Kem Mullins, who is now current interim chief operating officer for WellStar Health System.

Carrier, who will now be in charge of the 382-bed hospital's financial performance and clinical quality, has more than 20 years of health care experience.

Before accepting the position at WellStar, Carrier was vice president of Business Development and Strategy for Adventist Healthcare in Maryland. Previously she served as vice president and COO for Washington Adventist Hospital, and has also worked with Conemaugh Health System in Pennsylvania, Inova Fairfax Hospital and Georgia Washington University Medical Faculty Associates in Washington, D.C.
