The Atlanta Board of REALTORS helped grant the gift of home-ownership to another family with the completion of its 14th Habitat for Humanity home build on November 21st. The seven week project, consists of several ABR teams and took place every Saturday from October 10th to November 21st.
Each year, ABR is dedicated to build one house with the Atlanta Chapter of Habitat for Humanity. This community service project provides members with the opportunity to bond together and do something very special for a deserving family.
The purpose of the partnership with Habitat for Humanity is to promote the value of home-ownership and the financial stability that comes from owning a home. Since 1976, Habitat has helped 6.8 million people through housing opportunities and solutions, enabling them to achieve the strength, stability and independence they need to build brighter futures. Promoting home-ownership is a prime focus of the Atlanta Board of REALTORS. We believe that building homes with families can open doors to better opportunities for generations to come!
ABR President Ennis Antoine: "Each year, our membership looks forward to the opportunity to partner with the Atlanta Chapter of Habitat to provide housing for a new family. We encourage all of our members to become involved and participate in this heart-warming experience. Knowing that you have dedicated a small amount of time to help provide housing for a deserving family, is an unexplainable feeling. We look forward to more years and projects dedicated to promoting home-ownership."
