Panasonic Enterprise Solutions Company, a leader in implementing advanced technology solutions serving sports, entertainment and retail industries, has been chosen by the Atlanta Braves to partner on SunTrust Park, their new 41,000 seat ballpark, and The Battery Atlanta, their adjacent mixed-use community. This includes providing state of the art technology in three areas: LED solutions, security and eco and sustainability.
"We're thrilled to partner with Panasonic, an industry leader with expertise in the latest sports and entertainment technologies with a proven track record in skillfully managing large, multifaceted corporate projects," said Mike Plant, Executive Vice President of Business Operations for the Braves. "Panasonic's ability to design and run networked LED digital displays will help us raise the bar on creating unique, in-game experiences with engaging multimedia content, making SunTrust Park the most entertaining and technologically advanced ballpark. Their ability to provide security and eco solutions will make the park one of the safest and most environmentally friendly venues of its kind."
Panasonic will design, install and maintain a high-end, comprehensive large LED scoreboard display, ribbon fascia, digital signage, and video monitors throughout the park and adjacent spaces. Security cameras and security video management system, Video Insights, will also be installed, which will be managed by Panasonic. The final facet of the program will be an eco and sustainability plan for the complex.
SunTrust Park is the cornerstone of the mixed-use development project, The Battery Atlanta, headed by the Braves, one of the largest of its kind in the country. It also represents a major paradigm shift where the sports team is the developer and the process is strongly driven by data, analytics and location of the team's fan base. The enormous 90-acre sports and live entertainment complex will be open year-round and include an open plaza area, retailers, restaurants, major corporate offices, a luxury hotel and residences.
"Panasonic is honored to be chosen by the Atlanta Braves as their partner for a project of such magnitude that so dramatically transforms the fan experience," said Jim Doyle, President of Panasonic Enterprise Solutions Company. "The Braves' vision to use their new ballpark as the hub that connects to a larger community, uniting sports and entertainment with commercial and residential, is revolutionary and a real game-changer. Panasonic looks forward to delivering the types of cutting-edge technology solutions that will provide fans, sponsors, future residents and businesses with first-class lifestyle experiences."
