Innovative Product Achievements, LLC, the leading manufacturer of automated surgical scrub and linen dispensing equipment for acute care hospitals, today announced the appointment of Joseph "Joe" V. Gomes as President. Gomes will replace Bob Stonikas, who has retired after serving as I.P.A.'s President for 11 years, during which the company grew its client base to more than 800 hospitals worldwide.
"Joe's background in sales, operations and general management make him ideally suited to step into this leadership role," said Neil Hunn, Group Vice President for the Medical Group at Roper Technologies. "His experience in leading growing organizations has enabled him to make an immediate impact at I.P.A., and we look forward to his leadership as the company extends its position as the market leader in healthcare linen automation."
With a diverse set of leadership experiences within the healthcare industry, Gomes has driven growth and operational excellence across multiple roles spanning sales, strategic planning, operations and business development. Most recently, he served as the General Manager of I.P.A., with responsibility for all finance and operations functions including Client Services, Product Management, and Manufacturing.
Prior to joining I.P.A., Gomes was Senior Vice President, Operations at MedAssets, where he led the services organization for the Revenue Cycle Technology business unit. He held responsibility for software implementations, customer service, and account management for a client base of more than 2,600 U.S. hospitals. Prior to MedAssets, Gomes held various leadership positions at WebMD and Eli Lilly & Company.
"In today's healthcare environment, hospitals continue to look for ways to improve operating efficiency, lower costs, and ensure the best outcomes for patient care," said Gomes. "Our automated systems enable hospitals to achieve these goals by reengineering scrub and linen management, and I am excited to lead an innovative team that has built I.P.A. into the global leader in this market."
Gomes earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Auburn University and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
