Invest Atlanta CEO Craig Richard Steps Down

The City of Atlanta announced today that Craig Richard submitted his resignation from his position as President and Chief Executive Officer of Invest Atlanta on January 4, 2016. Mayor Kasim Reed expressed his appreciation for Richard's contributions.

“Craig Richard has served the City of Atlanta ably during his tenure at Invest Atlanta," said Mayor Reed. "Craig's leadership played an important role in attracting and retaining businesses, and I thank him for his service. I wish him the best in his future endeavors."

Mayor Reed appointed Richard as President and Chief Executive Officer of Invest Atlanta in November 2014. He was one of three finalists selected by Mayor Reed following a national search conducted on behalf of Invest Atlanta by Atlanta-based Jorgensen Consulting.  

"It has been a pleasure and an honor to work for Mayor Kasim Reed and the City of Atlanta,” said Richard. “Under Mayor Reed’s leadership and vision, the City has experienced record economic growth. I am grateful to have been a member of the Reed Administration.”

Dr. Eloisa Klementich, Managing Director of Business Development, will serve as Interim President and Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Klementich was also one of the three finalists in the national search conducted by Jorgensen Consulting on behalf of Invest Atlanta.

Richard's last day of service will be on January 18, 2016.
