Drexel Hamilton, a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Broker-Dealer, announced today it has opened an office in Atlanta, Ga. with the goal of expanding its offerings in the city and region. Specifically, the firm sees significant opportunity to provide municipal and corporate bond support to organizations across the region. Drexel Hamilton also hopes to expand its reach to military veterans interested in a career in finance.
"Opening this new location in Atlanta was a natural move as we look to increase our footprint in the Southeast," said Preston Carlson, Associate, Institutional Sales based in Atlanta. "With Atlanta's established reputation as the financial capital of the region, opening an office here allows us to better support local markets in a city with growing demand for municipal and corporate financing solutions."
Drexel Hamilton's expanded presence and new office come as Atlanta experiences exceptional growth. Both municipal projects, including the new I-285/GA-400 Interchange, and new large corporate campuses are changing the region's landscape. The state of Georgia is also home to more than 750,000 veterans, according to the Department of Veteran Affairs. The Atlanta office provides an opportunity for the firm to support business growth as well as spread its mission to offer meaningful employment opportunities to veterans and disabled veterans desiring a career in financial services.
"As part of our commitment to veterans, we make a significant effort to provide opportunities for them to work where they want to live," said James Cahill, President of Drexel Hamilton. "The Atlanta office is a perfect illustration of that commitment and we hope to recruit even more veteran employees to the Atlanta area."
