Staff Report From Metro Atlanta CEO

Thursday, February 4th, 2016

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport officials will join local USO leaders to kick off the USO’s 75th anniversary Thursday, Feb. 4. Former Atlanta Mayor and U.N. Ambassador Andrew Young will participate along with active-duty military personnel, veterans and business leaders as the organization begins its 75th year of service. The USO will celebrate its mission of connecting service members to family, home and country in a year-long series of events at ATL and across the nation. Ambassador Young and his family have long supported the USO, starting decades ago in his native Louisiana and continuing to this day in Atlanta. At the event, the USO will honor local and business leaders who have supported the organization during its nearly century-long outreach efforts.
