State Farm Bringing 1500 Jobs to Atlanta

State Farm has increased the minimum starting wage to $15.50 per hour for new hires and existing employees who previously fell below that threshold. The company will hire up to 1500 employees in the Metro Atlanta area in 2016.
State Farm announced starting pay for some entry-level careers is being increased $2.59 an hour to $15.50. “We’re seeking applicants for full and part-time positions in customer service, claims and sales, but we’ll also be recruiting for IT and other departments, and some positions requiring bilingual skills” State Farm Spokesman Justin Tomczak said.
