Adults looking to improve their employment options can prepare for high-demand jobs at the Atlanta Technical College. The college will host an Open House on Saturday, March 12. From 10AM to 1 PM, faculty, administrators and student ambassadors will be on hand to greet prospective students and share tips on making a smooth transition into college.

The program will include campus tours and presentations by staff on financial aid, student life, the admissions process and student support services. The mission of Atlanta Technical College is workforce development. Programs are designed to help students enter the job market quickly. Atlanta Tech will waive the application fee for anyone who completes an application at the Open House.

Current high school students and their parents are also encouraged to attend the open house. Information will be provided on dual enrollment programs and the new Atlanta College and Career Academy. In December, the Technical College System of Georgia awarded Atlanta Technical College $3.3 million to launch the Atlanta College and Career Academy, a regional project that will give high school students from Atlanta Public Schools, Fulton County Schools, and Clayton County Schools, the opportunity to study on the Atlanta Tech campus and earn college credit.

Atlanta Technical College offers associate degree, diploma and certificate programs in high demand areas such as: nursing, dental hygiene, bioscience, , accounting, marketing, industrial engineering, health information technology, paralegal studies, criminal justice, firefighting, construction management, design and media technology, surgical technology, supply chain management, welding, plumbing, HVAC repair, business management, drafting, industrial systems technology, physical therapist assistant, event coordination, hotel/restaurant/tourism management, cosmetology, barbering, early childhood care, and more.

The college offers flexible options including online, evening and weekend courses. There is also an onsite childcare center, career placement office and student success center to help students overcome barriers to successful completion.
