DCT Industrial Trust, a leading industrial real estate company, announced that Jay Mitchell has joined the Company as Senior Vice President based in Atlanta, Georgia. In his role, Jay will be responsible for all property and market related activities including all development, acquisitions, leasing and asset management in the Atlanta, Memphis, and Nashville markets. In these markets, DCT Industrial owns and operates 44 buildings totaling 11.8 million square feet with an additional 1.5 million square feet under development.

Jay joins DCT Industrial with over 30 years of real estate experience, including most recently as Senior Vice President, Regional Director with a leading national real estate company. Jay’s tenure in commercial and industrial real estate has included various roles in brokerage, asset management, development and leasing. In his latest role, Jay was responsible for more than 10 million square feet of industrial development with an estimated market value of $500 million.
