JE Dunn Construction recently honored Vice President and Regional General Counsel Colby Cox for 10 years of service with the company. As JE Dunn’s chief in-house counsel for the East Region and a key member of the leadership team, Cox directs the management of legal affairs and compliance, and manages the company’s legal team.
 
His responsibilities include counseling and training company executives and personnel on legal and risk management aspects of the industry; reviewing, drafting and negotiating agreements; and managing the resolution of claims and disputes.
 
Cox formerly served as associate counsel and as counsel for JE Dunn’s Midwest Region. A 16-year industry veteran, he is LEED Certified.
 
JE Dunn also cited Cox’s community involvement. He is a founding board member of Rise Up!, an after school program that teaches Biblical applications to elementary-aged children in a creative and fun environment. The program currently reaches more than 1,600 students in the public schools.
 
Cox holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Oklahoma State University and a juris doctor degree from University of Kansas.
