The combined team lead by Russell, singularly known as Russell/NRP, instantly brings 100% tier one Minority Business Enterprise spend to the roofing / building envelope category. This initiative is instrumental in providing a diversity spend program that encompasses overall general contracting, project management and full roofing and building envelope services. A 24 hour, 7 days a week call center will facilitate overall outsourced services providing an incredibly strong contribution to diversity spending for their joint customers.

H.J. Russell and NRP are both part of a growing focus of providing services that fill the need for corporation’s diversity spend. Active with the Billion Dollar Roundtable and National Minority Supplier Diversity Council, both companies are working to provide a quality, national solution for program management, construction and building envelope maintenance. NRP and H.J. Russell jointly bring strong elements of diversity, including H.J. Russell’s MBE status and NRP’s network of minority, women and veteran-owned companies.

“We see the need to help corporations meet their goals for high-quality diversity spending,” stated Byron Stallworth, strategic Accounts Manager with NRP. “The Billion Dollar Roundtable was created in 2001 to recognize and celebrate corporations that achieved spending of at least $1 billion with minority and woman-owned suppliers. The BDR encourages corporate entities to continue growing their supplier diversity programs by increasing commitment and spending levels each year. NRP and H.J. Russell are proud of this partnership in that, we will be filling an important role in helping corporations meet their diversity spending goals. Never before has an MBE managed the entire book of business in this space; maybe several projects in a geographical area, but not the entire footprint. It’s game changing.”

“The idea of outsourcing these services while picking up diversity spend is a new and very progressive idea,” noted Michael Russell, CEO of H.J. Russell & Company. “This partnership will provide a new and much needed opportunity for corporations to invest in minority and women-owned businesses. The concept of outsourcing facility management and building envelope maintenance services is an aggressive concept that will effectively be executed by the Russell and NRP nationwide network of contractors. With H.J. Russell’s 62 years of general contracting expertise and NRP’s national network and noted service excellence, it is the perfect combination for success.”
