This spring, two international airlines will launch direct flights to Atlanta – Turkish Airlines and Qatar Airways. Turkish Airlines will begin service to Atlanta on May 16 while Qatar Airways’ inaugural flight to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is June 1.
“The international market is Atlanta’s next great incremental growth opportunity,” said William Pate, president and CEO, Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau. “These new flights further solidify Atlanta as a global gateway, and we look forward to welcoming visitors from these new markets.”
Turkish Airlines will have daily departures from Istanbul Ataturk Airport. The carrier’s new route to Atlanta joins 287 U.S. destinations and 113 countries worldwide. Atlanta will be the second gateway for the airline in the Southeastern U.S.
Qatar Airways will have daily departures from Hamad International Airport in Doha. It serves more than 150 destinations, and Atlanta will be the second served in the Southeast.
