Georgia Tech Logistics Conference Announced for Atlanta

The 2016 Health & Humanitarian Logistics Conference draws together leaders from across the private sector, government, NGOs and UN agencies, and academia to discuss common challenges and innovative solutions in health and humanitarian operations around the world. It has been hosted in 5 different locations around the world (last year in Johannesburg), and returns to GA Tech in 2016, bringing together major players such as CARE, CDC, Coca-Cola, Georgia Tech, UPS and others active in these areas which are based in Atlanta.
 
The agenda features plenary panels and interactive workshops on a variety of topics related to supply chain management and logistics in global health and humanitarian response and development, as well as poster sessions on innovative research and ample opportunities for networking. The conference will feature Keynote addresses from Principal Deputy Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Dr. Anne Schuchat, as well as President and CEO of CARE USA, Michelle Nunn, on topics related to global health emergencies and refugee response. There will likely also be a number of technology demos sessions on the third day of the event for software companies, mobile platforms and other organizations to connect with potential users as NGOs and governments working in the space.
