Staff Report From Metro Atlanta CEO
Tuesday, July 26th, 2016
The Alpharetta Business Association will conduct its 2016 Alpharetta Business Expo on Friday, August 26, 2016 at the Atlanta Marriott Alpharetta. Now in its fourth year, the Alpharetta Business Expo has become the premier North Fulton business expo focused on both small business and technology startups.
Approximately 90 exhibitors are scheduled to participate, including eight local food establishments who will provide food for attendees. The Expo will be open from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm, with admission free and open to the public.
Celebrating Alpharetta’s status as the “Technology City of the South,” ABA will again host a Tech Startup Pitch Showcase featuring some of Alpharetta’s most interesting startups telling their stories and exhibiting their technology. All Showcase participants will pitch publicly to a panel of coaches at 9:00 AM. After Alpharetta Mayor David Belle Isle cuts the ribbon at 10:30 AM to open the Expo doors, these same startups will be available during the Expo to demonstrate their technologies and answer questions.
“Although last year’s Expo was record breaking, this year’s event is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever,” said John Ray, ABA Board Member and Owner of Ray Business Advisors/BookKeeping Express. “Led by our premium sponsors, we’ve got the deepest line-up of exhibitors we’ve ever had, along with a tantalizing array of local restaurants and food vendors.
“Our Startup Showcase is a great way to start the day, and represents ABA’s support of the startup community in Alpharetta and North Fulton. Helping these companies make connections to the wider business community is a goal of this event,” Ray continued.
Premium sponsors for this year’s Expo include the Alpharetta Convention & Visitors Bureau, Roswell Infiniti of North Atlanta, Morrow Family Medicine, North Fulton Business RadioX, LG Electronics USA, Greater Alpharetta Technology Network, LGE Community Credit Union, Gwinnett Tech– Alpharetta-North Fulton Campus, Minuteman Press of Alpharetta, Hennessy Transportation, Family Life Publications, WebChimpy, TC Productions and Dramatic Water Solutions.
The Technology Showcase pitch event will begin at 9:00 am. After Mayor Belle Isle’s ribbon cutting at 10:30, the Expo will remain open until 3:00 pm. All events are free to the public.
