Landis+Gyr announced another milestone for its industry-leading advanced electricity meters today, completing production of the 50 millionth unit at its North American manufacturing plant.

Landis+Gyr's award winning production facility produces advanced residential and commercial solid state meters for use in smart grid deployments, as well as higher function grid meters for distribution management that include advanced sensing, data collection and analysis.

In 2007, Landis+Gyr revolutionized advanced metering by introducing the E350 FOCUS AX-SD, an advanced electric meter with integrated service switch and metrology features previously found only in light commercial meters. The AX-SD went on to become the primary residential meter deployed at the largest advanced metering projects in the country.
