Sarah Kayongo Named New Chief Operating Officer at Medshare

MedShare has appointed Sarah Kayongo as the new Chief Operating Officer. She will serve as COO effective September 6, 2016. Prior to accepting this position, Mrs. Kayongo served as the Country Manager for DHL in Malawi, Africa where she was responsible for overall operations. She also managed the southeast development team for Child Fund International as Regional Development Director. She has held leadership positions with World Vision International, CARE International, and USAID. Additionally, Mrs. Kayongo is the Co-Founder of the Global Soap Project, an organization dedicated to improving global health through the recycling and redistribution of hygiene products to those in need.
As COO, Mrs. Kayongo will be responsible for managing organizational operations for MedShare Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, as well as western and northeastern operations in San Leandro, California, and the New York area. As a member of MedShare’s Senior Leadership team, she will report directly to Charles Redding, the CEO/President. Her proven track record in strategic planning, project management, and international logistics, as well as her dedication to global relief efforts, make her a valuable addition to MedShare.
Mrs. Kayongo holds a degree in Business Administration from Messiah College in Grantham, Pennsylvania and a Masters of Science in Economic Development from Eastern University in Saint David’s, Pennsylvania. She is currently pursing a Doctorate in Business Administration from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia. She has lived in Atlanta with her family for 19 years.
