TrueWealth is pleased to announce that Michael Maiorano, CFP, CPA/PFS, has been named the president of the leading Atlanta wealth management services firm. Jim Heard, who founded TrueWealth in 1999 as Windham Brannon Financial Group, remains CEO and board chairman. The executive changes are effective immediately.

A sought-after CPA for more than a decade, Maiorano joined TrueWealth in November 2014 from the Atlanta-based tax, audit, accounting and advisory services firm Windham Brannon. An authority on a variety of complex income tax issues, he focuses on business succession and wealth transfer planning. He was honored earlier this year with a "Standing Ovation" award from the American Institute of CPAs for his contributions to personal financial planning.

A native of Atlanta, Maiorano lives with his family in Smyrna. Equally at home in the boardroom or on the playing field, he enjoys T-ball with his kids and CrossFit. Maiorano also places a high value on community service and volunteers regularly with StreetGrace, the Atlanta Community Food Bank, GSCPA's Financial Literacy Program and the Red Cross.
