TAG Seeks Local Technology Professionals to Help Communities in Need
Staff Report From Metro Atlanta CEO
Monday, October 24th, 2016
The Technology Association of Georgia, the state’s leading association dedicated to the promotion and economic advancement of Georgia’s technology industry announced partnerships with United Way of Greater Atlanta to assist MedShare and Books for Africa in organizing surplus medical supplies, and educational supplies. This event challenges technology companies in Georgia to consider how they can support local non-profits in the pursuit of their global missions. On November 22nd, local technology companies have the opportunity to work alongside volunteers for both of these non-profits, and contribute to advancement of their international aims.
“We are excited to be a part of supporting the missions of MedShare and Books for Africa. Taking underutilized supplies from local communities and companies, and using them to benefit global communities in need, is a great opportunity for us to expand the impact we can have outside of our local communities.” Said Tino Mantella, President and CEO of Technological Association of Georgia.
TAG will host 125 volunteers on November 22nd to give back to their communities. For more information and to register follow the link here: https://www.123signup.com/event?id=nmskx.
