Perkins + Will Awarded Top Landscape Design Honors on Six Projects

The American Society of Landscape Architects presented Georgia merit and honor awards to landscape firms across the State at the group’s annual meeting last week. The award categories included general and residential design, analysis and planning efforts around landscape design, pro bono community service design and research that identifies and investigates challenges posed in landscape architecture. A total of ten awards were presented to Georgia landscape architecture and design firms. Perkins+Will was awarded six awards with the following honors:

HONOR AWARD

Atlantic Drive Promenade – Atlanta, GA (Analysis and Planning category)

Waterfront Botanical Gardens – Louisville, KY (Analysis and Planning category)

Covenant House Homeless and Trafficked Youth Shelter Courtyard – Atlanta, GA (Community Service category)

MERIT AWARD

Lake County Children's Memorial Garden – Tavares, FL (Community Service category)

Ninth Street Streetscape and Plaza – Gainesville, FL (General Design category)

Analysis of Therapeutic Gardens for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (Research category)

“It was a great honor to receive six out of the ten awards given this year by GAASLA,” said Perkins+Will Senior Landscape Architect, Senior Associate Zan Stewart, LEED AP BD+C. “From healing gardens to urban planning projects, we received recognition for projects that showcased our quality of design as well as our strong analysis and planning efforts.”
