The Department of Planning and Community Development to Host Atlanta City Design Project Meetings

The City of Atlanta announced today that it will host two Atlanta City Design Project meetings on December 6 and December 8. The Atlanta City Design Project, conducted under the direction of the Department of Planning and Community Development, will create a plan to guide how Atlanta can grow equitably and sustainably while maintaining its core character in years to come. The City of Atlanta is incorporating public engagement events into the Project to ensure all residents are involved the city’s future.
“We understand how important it is to gather ideas from residents, who are our main stakeholders and partners in the progress of our City," said Commissioner Tim Keane. “It is imperative that this process is one that is collaborative, open and balanced.”
Meetings will be held on:
-Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at Atlanta Central Library, One Margaret Mitchell Square NW, Atlanta.
-Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at Adamsville Recreation Center, 3201 Martin Luther King Jr., Drive SW, Atlanta.
The Atlanta City Design Project will promote sustainable design that incorporates the social, economic and environmental needs of an Atlanta that can be one of the most livable cities in the country.
