The Atlanta Hawks Basketball Club and Anheuser-Busch have collaborated to introduce co-branded Budweiser cans to celebrate the start of the season. Atlanta Beverage Company and Eagle Rock Distributing Company are distributing over 600,000 12-ounce cans in the local market, featuring the Hawks’ primary logo alongside Budweiser’s iconic logo.

“We’re very excited to partner with Anheuser-Busch to provide Hawks fans of legal drinking age with a unique way to support their favorite club,” said Andrew Saltzman, EVP and Chief Revenue Officer of the Atlanta Hawks and Philips Arena. “With our co-branded cans, local fans can support Atlanta’s team while drinking ‘The Great American Lager.’”

Shoppers will see 12-packs of the Budweiser Hawks cans displayed in retail locations at targeted sites in the Metropolitan Atlanta market and visitors to Philips Arena can purchase them at select locations in the venue. Arena caterer Levy Restaurants will serve the team cans to guests who order Budweiser in suites, as well as members who access the team’s premium Hardwood Club. Additional Budweiser co-branded items including merchandise, team schedules, billboards, and retail signage will also be in market in support of the partnership.

“Anheuser-Busch is a proud partner of the Atlanta Hawks and the National Basketball Association and we’re excited to bring these new can designs to the market,” said Nick Kelly, Director of Experiential Marketing at Anheuser- Busch. “Enhancing our packaging with team marks enables us to better connect with the fan base and perfectly fits in with our fan-centric approach in sports marketing.”
