Atlanta-based Guardian Pharmacy Acquires Pharmacy Concepts

Guardian Pharmacy LLC, one of the nation’s largest long-term care pharmacy companies, in partnership with Melissa Deas, PharmD, announced the acquisition of Pharmacy Concepts located in Arlington. Through this new partnership, Guardian Pharmacy and Deas will work together to provide quality pharmacy products, services and education to skilled nursing and assisted living facilities across Texas.
Founded in 2000, Pharmacy Concepts has earned a reputation for excellent customer service, rapid response to client needs and continuous 24/7 service. Today the pharmacy employs 50 individuals and serves more than 1,100 senior residents across the state. Deas, a pharmacist with over 20 years of experience managing retail and LTC pharmacies, will join Pharmacy Concepts as owner and president.

Deas, as the local owner, will focus on customer service to meet the specialized needs of its customers, while Guardian’s corporate team assists with the time consuming day-to-day business operations like payroll, HR, IT and more.
