The 34th annual Virginia-Highland Summerfest welcomes visitors to one of Atlanta’s most charming historic neighborhoods June 3-4, 2017. Through more than three decades, Summerfest has earned recognition for its live music stages, where renowned local musicians as well as nationally-acclaimed singer songwriters perform throughout the entire weekend. The best part - all musical performances at Summerfest are free!

This year, Summerfest includes two Acoustic Stages! On Friday, June 2 on Acoustic Stage 1, attendees can enjoy the Summerfest Kickoff Block Party with The Apple Scruffs covering the best of The Beatles plus favorites from David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, the Grateful Dead and more from 8-11 p.m. This stage is located at N. Highland and Virginia Avenues and will include music from 4-11 p.m. on festival Saturday. Acoustic Stage 2, located at Park Drive and Virginia Avenue, will showcase live music from 1-5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Presented by the Virginia-Highland Civic Association, Summerfest celebrates the arts with a juried Artist Market featuring more than 230 artists displaying works in an variety of media and representing numerous price ranges to appeal to any level of collector. For 2017, Summerfest will expand the popular Local Market, which launched last year. Highlighting vendors from the area who produce hand-made products like soaps, honey, baked goods, and gourmet food products, the Local Market was a hit with attendees looking for unique items. The 2017 list of attending artsits will be posted at http://vahi.org/summerfest/artist-market/ by May 15.

TRANSPORT:
Summerfest offers a free onsite bike valet. Limited, paid parking is available in certain business lots, including nearby Grace Lutheran Church on N. Highland Avenue. Designated handicap parking is also available on nearby streets.
